What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the headlamp driver module (HDM) may not operate properly in high underhood temperatures. If the HDM is not operating correctly, the low-beam headlamps and daytime running lamps could fail to illuminate. Loss of daytime running lamps and low-beam headlamps could result in decreased driver's vision, as well as rendering the vehicle less visible to other motorists, which could result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the headlamp relay (HDM) located in the underhood bussed electrical centre (UBEC). Note: this condition does not affect the high-beam headlamps, marker lamps, turn signals, or fog lamps. Note: This recall supersedes recall 2014-535.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a defect in the ignition switch could allow the switch to move out of the "run" position if the key ring is carrying added weight or the vehicle goes off-road or is subjected to some other jarring event. If this were to occur, engine power, power steering and power braking would be affected, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. The timing of the key movement out of the “run” position, relative to the activation of the sensing algorithm of the crash event, may also result in the airbags not deploying in a subsequent collision, increasing the risk of injury.

What the dealer will do

For each key, dealers will install two key rings and modify the key ring opening shape. Note: Until the correction is performed, all items should be removed from the key ring.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the clip that secures the brake pushrod to the brake pedal arm pin could have been bent during assembly. A bent clip may come off, allowing the brake booster pushrod to separate from the brake pedal. If this happens, pushing on the pedal will not apply the brakes and a vehicle crash could occur without prior warning.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will install a new brake pedal pushrod bushing and retaining clip and, if the clip was missing, a new brake pedal arm assembly.
