Transport Canada recall 2026020 · manufacturer campaign N252532830

22 January 2026

Transport Canada lists: Blazer 2024–2025

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a General Motors dealer during recall N252503010 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-351) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, the parking brake wiring harness could become damaged and/or corroded. If this happens, the parking brake may not work and the vehicle could roll away when it's parked. This problem could also cause the parking brake to apply suddenly while driving.

Why it matters

A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Additionally, a parking brake that self-applies while driving could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the wiring harness.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the lower beam headlamps not to turn on as it becomes dark outside if the multi-function switch is in the "OFF" or "PARKING LAMP" position. This could also cause the daytime running lamps (DRLs) to turn off when the vehicle is moving. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module (BCM)software.
