Transport Canada recall 2016447 · manufacturer campaign S69

13 September 2016

Transport Canada lists: 500 2016

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 - Tire Selection and Rims. The Tire and Loading Information Label may have incorrect spare tire inflation pressure of 46 psi which exceeds the maximum permissible pressure of 41 psi listed on the sidewall of the spare tire. This could result in spare tire over-inflation, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

A revised Tire and Loading Information Label will be mailed to owners along with instructions for proper installation. If owners are not comfortable installing the label themselves, they can take the label to an FCA dealer for installation.

13 July 2016

Transport Canada lists: 200 2015 · 500 2016 · Cherokee 2014–2015 · Renegade 2015 · and 1 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, the transmission wire harness may have improper crimps. This could cause an unexpected shift to neutral which could result in a loss of motive power, which in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver's reactions may increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will update the software of the Transmission Control Module (TCM), and replace the transaxle wire harness as necessary.
