What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the electrical connector for the backup alarm could loosen and disconnect. As a result, the vehicle may not make a reverse warning sound when backing up. Note: This recall only affects certain incomplete vehicles.

Why it matters

A backup alarm that doesn't work correctly could create confusion and increase the risk of injury for other road users.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the exterior sounder connector on the frame wiring harness.
