What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the lower engine oil cooler hose may contact the front left-hand brake pipe. Over time, the oil cooler hose could wear a hole in the brake pipe causing loss of front brake performance and increased stopping distances. This could result in a vehicle crash without prior warning.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will install an oil cooler hose bracket to prevent the oil cooler hose from contacting the brake pipe. Brake pipe will be inspected for wear and, if required, the brake pipe will be replaced.
