What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the wiring for the third-row left-hand (driver's side) seat belt buckle could become damaged when the buckle is pulled. As a result, the seat belt status indicator in the instrument panel may incorrectly show that a seat belt is buckled when it's not.

Why it matters

A seat belt status indicator that doesn't work correctly could create confusion. Not wearing a seat belt increases the risk of injury in a crash.

What the dealer will do

Hyundai will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an extension to the wiring harness. The dealer will replace the seat belt buckle assembly, if necessary.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the second and third-row seats may not detect an obstruction when the power folding functions are used, including when using the automatic power folding (stow) or the one-touch tilt-and-slide (walk-in) features. If this happens, the seat(s) may not stop moving even if there's an obstruction.

Why it matters

A seat that doesn't stop moving could increase the risk of injury.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, Hyundai advises you to ensure the seats are empty before using any power folding function and not to use the one-touch tilt-and-slide (walk-in) feature when entering or exiting the third-row seats. Hyundai will notify owners in writing and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the seat controller and audio, visual, navigation software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Hyundai dealership.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the instrument panel cluster to reboot while driving. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including the speedometer, fuel gauge, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), warning lights and malfunction tell-tales. Note : For the Santa Fe model, this recall only affects the hybrid model. For the Palisade model, both gas and hybrid models are affected. For the Tucson model, gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models are affected.

Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash.
