What is wrong

On certain trucks, the U-bolts that attach the rear axle to the suspension may not be properly tightened. As a result, the axle could slide back and separate from the propeller shaft. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels.

Why it matters

A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Isuzu will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect and, if necessary, replace and tighten the rear axle U-bolt nuts.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the left rear wheel bearing hub locking bolts may not have been properly torqued during assembly. This could cause the bolts to loosen and break, which could allow the wheel assembly to move outwards from the axle housing. If this occurs, the vehicle could become more difficult to control and braking distances would increase which could result in a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will inspect and tighten the rear left wheel bearing hub locking bolts as necessary.
