What is wrong

Under certain conditions, the clutch pressure plate could overheat and break. If this happens, the pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 L engine and a manual transmission. Vehicles repaired under FCA Canada recalls Y01, Y03 and Y07 (Transport Canada recall 2021-035) also require this repair.

Why it matters

Debris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire. Parts that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of injury.

What the dealer will do

FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to tale your vehicle to a dealership to replace the clutch assembly. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, update the instrument panel cluster and powertrain control module software.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the clutch pressure plate could overheat and break. If this happens, there would be a loss of power to the wheels. A broken pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have been built with an improperly welded front track bar bracket. This could result in the bracket separating from the frame, which would reduce steering response and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will inspect and repair the front track bar bracket welds as necessary. Note: Prior to complete separation of the bracket from the frame, a driver may notice a front end noise, an off-center steering wheel position, a “Service Electronic Stability Control” message and/or Electronic Stability control light on in the instrument cluster.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, an electronic fault may create a situation where the cruise control cannot be deactivated. If this occurs and the driver does not apply the brakes or shift the transmission to neutral, the vehicle could maintain speed or accelerate without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

Dealers will inspect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software and perform an update as necessary. Note: In the interim, owners are advised not to use the cruise control until the vehicle is repaired.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have been built with reduced corrosion protection on the left rear under body ladder rail. This could cause the affected area to corrode prematurely, which could result in the left rear seat mount to become loose or reduce the strength of the rear floor pan, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupants in the event of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will inspect the under body ladder rail and apply rust protection, or if deemed unrepairable, FCA will review further.
