On certain vehicles, a crack could develop on the sidewall of the tire. Over time, the crack could expand and could lead to a partial tread separation.

Why it matters

A tire tread separation could affect vehicle stability and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their vehicle to a dealer for an inspection of the tires. If the vehicle has one or more affected tires, all four tires will be replaced.
