Airbag

Transport Canada recall 2026184 · manufacturer campaign R26A1

9 April 2026

Transport Canada lists: Cube 2009–2010

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the driver-front airbag inflator may not have been properly welded. As a result, the airbag module could separate from the steering wheel when it deploys in a crash.

Why it matters

An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash.

What the dealer will do

Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver-front airbag inflator.

Fuel System

Transport Canada recall 2010247 · manufacturer campaign R165

22 July 2010

Transport Canada lists: Cube 2009–2010

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may not meet the requirements of the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 301 - Fuel System Integrity. After a rear impact crash test during a compliance testing program, the post crash fuel spillage exceeded the limit specified by the standard. Should fuel leakage occur and be in close proximity to an ignition source it could result in a fire.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will install a protector to the gasoline recirculation tube at the filler neck connection.

Transport Canada recall 2010235 · manufacturer campaign P120

16 July 2010

Transport Canada lists: Cube 2009–2010

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the passenger-side curtain airbag may have been incorrectly positioned during vehicle assembly. As a result, in certain types of crashes where side curtain airbag deployment is expected, a portion of the bag may be restricted from fully deploying. The side curtain airbag will still deploy in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding applicable safety standards.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the side curtain airbag. This action is a Customer Satisfaction Campaign and is not being conducted as per the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

2 October 2009

Transport Canada lists: M 35 2008–2010 · M 45 2008–2010 · Cube 2009 · Murano 2009 · and 1 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, material in the nut used to secure the sensor-transmitter of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may corrode and crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt. If this occurs, the nut may come out of the TPMS sensor-transmitter causing a rapid loss of tire air pressure. This could adversely affect vehicle control and cause a crash resulting in property damage, personal injury or death.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the TPMS nut with a revised version.
