High Voltage
Transport Canada recall 2023295 · manufacturer campaign R10216
23 May 2023
Transport Canada lists: Polestar 1 2021–2022
What is wrong
On certain vehicles, the high-voltage battery could overheat when it is fully charged. As a result, the battery could create smoke or heat, which can melt or damage the battery and nearby parts. Note: This recall replaces recall R10202 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2022-716). Vehicles that received a software update under that recall also require this repair.
Why it matters
A battery that overheats can create a fire risk.
What the dealer will do
Polestar will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-voltage battery.
