Transport Canada recall 2025485 · manufacturer campaign RP1069

15 September 2025

Transport Canada lists: Polestar 2 2021–2025

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Polestar dealer during recall RP1056 (Transport Canada recall no. 2025-230) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair may be required. On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to display the wrong camera view or to not display at all when the transmission is shifted into reverse.

Why it matters

A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Polestar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software.

Transport Canada recall 2025333 · manufacturer campaign RP1061

17 June 2025

Transport Canada lists: Polestar 2 2024–2025

What is wrong

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause a loss of brakes.

Why it matters

A loss of brakes can increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, Polestar recommends not to use the "One Pedal Drive" drive mode until the recall repairs are completed. Polestar will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update for the brake control module software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Polestar dealership.
