What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have been built with a casting defect in the rack and pinion steering gear die-cast housing. This could result in a crack causing a loss of hydraulic fluid and a sudden increase in steering effort, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will inspect the steering gear housing and replace the rack and pinion assembly as necessary.
