Transport Canada recall 2025578 · manufacturer campaign 67C / B3C / C9C

23 October 2025

Transport Canada lists: Promaster 2018–2026

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the wiring for the 400 W radiator cooling fan module may not have proper circuit protection. Additionally, the bearing for the fan could fail. If this happens, the wiring could overheat and melt before the fuse blows.

Why it matters

Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire.

What the dealer will do

FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the cooling fan module and fuse. The dealer will also install a label on the power distribution center and add an insert to the owner's manual.

Transport Canada recall 2021200

30 March 2021

Transport Canada lists: Promaster 2016–2020

What is wrong

On certain wheelchair-accessible vehicles, the compliance label has incomplete information. Also, the tire and loading information label may not have been updated to include the new seating capacity and the maximum weight of occupants and cargo. This could lead to overloading of the vehicle and cause poor handling or a tire failure.

Why it matters

Overloading of the vehicle could cause a loss of control and result in a crash.

What the dealer will do

Dynamic Specialty Vehicles will mail new compliance and tire and loading information labels to each owner, along with instructions for how to install them.

23 January 2020

Transport Canada lists: Promaster 2014–2019

What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 L engine, the transmission gear shift cable may have been damaged during vehicle assembly. As a result, the shift cable could disconnect from the transmission. If this happens, the transmission will not shift gears when the shift lever is moved. If a driver attempts to exit the vehicle while the transmission is not in the Park position, and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle could move suddenly.

Why it matters

Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the transmission shift cable.

Transport Canada lists: Promaster 2015–2018

What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with air conditioning (A/C), the engine cooling fan could potentially stall or seize. This could cause the cooling fan circuit to overheat. In some cases, this may cause the Check Engine and/or the Engine Temperature Malfunction Indicator Lights to turn on.

Why it matters

A cooling fan circuit that overheats could increase the risk of a fire.

What the dealer will do

FCA will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the engine cooling fan module.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have been built with a casting defect in the rack and pinion steering gear die-cast housing. Transport Canada recall 2017563 · manufacturer campaign T64

16 November 2017

Transport Canada lists: Promaster 2018

What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with front door impact pressure sensors, the fasteners used to hold the front door impact pressure sensors may cause the sensor housing to fracture. If this occurs, it could affect the deployment of the side airbags in the event of a crash, which would increase the risk of injury to the front seat occupants.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace both front door impact pressure sensors and use the correct fasteners.
