In certain situations, the braking system could apply too much force to the brake rotors. If this happens, the brake rotors could crack and suddenly cause reduced braking. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with carbon ceramic matrix brakes.

What is wrong

Under specific driving conditions, the driver may not be able to cancel the adaptive cruise control (ACC) setting.

On certain vehicles, water could enter and cause corrosion to the body control module and/or the A-pillar connector of the module. If corrosion were to occur, it may result in one or more malfunction indicator lamps to illuminate, a loss of windshield wiper function, a loss of all exterior lighting, a loss of horn function and inadvertent turn signal activation. These conditions could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

Dealers will install additional sealing protection around the A-pillar sheet metal joint to the HVAC box to prevent water intrusion.

Lost cargo may create a hazard for other road users, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.
