What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the attachment points for the lower universal anchorage system (for attaching a child seat) could be damaged over time. As a result, a child seat may come loose.

Why it matters

A child seat that is not properly secured could create an increased risk of injury in a crash.

What the dealer will do

BMW will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to add a reinforcing bracket to the lower anchor bars and the vehicle body.

What is wrong

Certain M-Series vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 110 - Tire Selection and Rims. For some X5 M and X6 M vehicles, the tire and loading information label incorrectly states the vehicles were equipped with 20-inch tires, however the vehicles are equipped with 21-inch tires. For some M6 Cabriolet and M6 Coupe vehicles, the tire and loading information label incorrectly states the vehicles were equipped with 19-inch tires, however the vehicle is equipped with 20-inch tires. Additionally, the label for the M6 Cabriolet and M6 Coupe vehicles incorrectly displays a value of 32psi (220 kPa), although it should display a value of 35psi (240kPa).

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the Tire and Loading label.
