As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the low brake fluid warning lamp not to turn on if the brake fluid level gets too low. A low brake fluid level can cause reduced braking.

Under certain conditions, the electronic door latches could stay locked after the driver and/or front passenger exit the vehicle. As a result, you may not be able to open the doors from the outside, or an occupant that's unable to use the inside door handle(s) may not be able to exit the vehicle on their own.

On certain vehicles, the wrong over-the-air software update may have been sent for the antilock braking system (ABS). As a result, there could be a loss of power brake assist. This could also cause other systems not to work including the ABS, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist and pre-collision assist. Note: This problem would cause ABS warning lights and messages to display on the instrument panel.
