Transport Canada lists: Econoline 2017–2019 · Edge 2015–2018 · Expedition 2015–2017 · F 250 2015–2019 · and 8 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the connections inside the rearview camera. As a result, the rearview camera image may not display correctly or at all when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Note: For certain models, this recall also affects incomplete vehicles.

Why it matters

A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rearview camera.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, water could enter the LED logo lamps inside the driver and passenger side mirrors and cause a short circuit when they turn on.

Why it matters

A short circuit can create the risk of a fire, including when the vehicle is parked, the engine is turned off and the lamps are turned on.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to disconnect the LED logo lamps power wires.

Transport Canada recall 2022115 · manufacturer campaign 22S11

14 March 2022

Transport Canada lists: Expedition 2016–2017 · F 150 2016–2017 · Navigator 2016–2017

What is wrong

On certain trucks equipped with a 3.5 L Ecoboost engine, brake fluid could leak from the brake master cylinder into the brake booster. This can cause reduced front brake performance, and the driver may experience increased brake pedal travel and increased pedal effort. Full braking function remains in the rear wheel circuit. Note: Depending on the amount of brake fluid loss, the driver may hear a warning chime and see a red brake warning indicator in the instrument cluster. This is an expansion of Ford recall 20S31 (Transport Canada Recall No. 2020-252).

Why it matters

Reduced front brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the brake master cylinder. The dealer will also replace the brake booster if the brake master cylinder is leaking.
