On certain vehicles, a defect in the ignition switch could cause an electrical short to develop over time. This could result in smoke and/or fire, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property.
Dealers will replace the ignition switch.

On certain vehicles, the headlight lead wire may break at the point where it is soldered to the headlight switch. This could result in loss of headlight function.
Dealers will inspect the headlight lead wire and, if necessary, replace the headlight switch.
Recall letters go to whoever owns the car on paper, which may not be you. Save your 1994 Mazda 626 and we will email you the day Transport Canada issues a new recall for it.
