What is wrong

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the in-vehicle infotainment system to continuously reboot. If this happens, the rearview camera image will not appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear.

Why it matters

A rearview camera image that does not display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Nissan will notify owners by mail and ask you to make an appointment with your local dealer to update the in-vehicle infotainment system software. For vehicles with over-the-air (OTA) update capability, Nissan will send a wireless over-the-air software update to each vehicle.

What is wrong

If you shift to reverse while the computer is resetting, the rearview camera image will not appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the transmission is shifted into reverse gear. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles sold to rental fleets.

What is wrong

On certain trucks, the bolts that attach the seat belt bracket to the left-rear seat could be loose. As a result, the seat belt bracket could break in a crash. If this happens, the seat belt may not hold a person in place during the crash.

Why it matters

A seat belt that does not work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

What the dealer will do

Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the seat belt bracket bolts on the left-rear seat, and replace them, if necessary.
