Transport Canada issued 1 vehicle recall in the week of 24 August 2026, covering about 2 vehicles in Canada. The systems involved: lights and instruments.

Good news: If one of these covers your vehicle, the repair is almost certainly free. Book with any manufacturer dealer and quote the recall number. Transport Canada’s own wording is that a manufacturer “will almost always make these repairs free of charge”, so being asked to pay for recall work is unusual and worth questioning. Since 2018 the Minister of Transport can order a company to pay for repairs so owners do not bear the cost.

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the low beam headlamps not to be bright enough after switching from high to low beam.

Headlamps that aren't bright enough can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do: Newmar will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Check your own vehicle — and save it, so you hear about the next one the day it lands rather than whenever the letter reaches the registered owner.

Watch your own vehicle. Look it up and we will email you the day Transport Canada issues a new recall for it.
