What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the airbag electronic control unit (ECU) could be damaged by an electrical fault. This could cause the airbag system not to work properly in a crash. It could also result in a deployment of the airbags and/or seat belt pretensioners without a crash.

Why it matters

Airbags that do not work properly in a crash could create an increased risk of injury. Airbags or seat belt pretensioners that deploy without a crash could create a risk of injury and also increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the airbag ECU.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with a non-galvanize treated main fuel delivery line, making them susceptible to corrosion. Overtime, corroded fuel lines could potentially leak which, in the presence of an ignition source, would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the main fuel delivery lines with galvanized lines.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, passenger side door latch components may not have been heat treated at time of manufacture. This could decrease the door latch strength and potentially allow the door to open when subjected to crash forces. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property.
