What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the power transfer unit (PTU) could become damaged and fail. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels and/or the vehicle could move when it's parked and the parking brake isn't applied. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a two-speed PTU.

A loss of power to the wheels or a parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury and/or a crash.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the rearview camera image may be displayed even after the transmission is shifted out of reverse. This could cause a possible distraction for the driver. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to turn off within 10 seconds after shifting from reverse gear.

Why it matters

A driver that is distracted could have an increased risk of a crash.

FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the radio software.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have been built with a gear in the steering rack that was not properly hardened. As a result, the gear could break and cause a loss of steering.

A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash.
