Transport Canada recall 2022487 · manufacturer campaign ANB4

31 August 2022

Transport Canada lists: Boxster 2001–2004, 2013–2021 · Cayenne 2003–2018 · Cayman 2013–2021 · Macan 2015–2022 · and 2 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, covers were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations do not allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device.

Why it matters

Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install caps over the headlamp adjustment screws.

Transport Canada lists: Cayenne 2011–2012 · Panamera 2010–2012 · Panamera 4 2010–2012

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the fasteners of the camshaft adjusters could fail due to an assembly problem. If this occurs, this could cause abnormal engine noises, vibrations, illumination of the check engine light and could cause the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the fastening screws of the camshaft adjusters and if necessary, replace the camshaft adjuster assemblies.

Brakes

Transport Canada recall 2016131 · manufacturer campaign AG02

23 March 2016

Transport Canada lists: Cayenne 2011–2016

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a circlip at the brake pedal hinge may not have been installed at the time of assembly. This could allow the pivot pin to move out of position, which would allow the pedal to wobble, and could fracture the brake pedal pivot through continued use. A fractured hinge would allow the pedal to separate from its pivot, which could lead to impaired brake function and increase stopping distances, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will inspect and add a circlip as necessary.

What is wrong

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the fuel rail and corresponding seals.

Transport Canada recall 2012209 · manufacturer campaign AC04

11 July 2012

Transport Canada lists: Cayenne 2012 · Panamera 2011–2012

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the turbocharger turbine wheel may have been incorrectly manufactured and could fail. Turbine wheel failure would result in a noticeable decrease in vehicle performance. Continued vehicle operation could cause the turbine shaft to also fracture. If the fractured shaft moves out of a bearing, oil may be drawn into the exhaust system, which could result in a fire causing property damage and/or personal injury.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the turbocharger assembly.

Transport Canada recall 2012070 · manufacturer campaign AC01

22 February 2012

Transport Canada lists: Cayenne 2011–2012

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the headlamp assemblies may not have been secured correctly during vehicle assembly. As a result, the headlamps could loosen and detach from the vehicle, which could compromise the driver's ability to see the road and its users. In addition, the errant headlamp module could strike a vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the headlamp locking components.
