As a result, another repair is required. On certain vehicles, the rear coil springs may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the spring(s) could detach from the vehicle while driving. On certain vehicles, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery that can cause a fire, even while parked with the ignition off. Note: This recall only affects 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-566.

Why it matters

The vehicle could catch fire, even while parked and turned off.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, FCA advises not to charge your vehicle, and to park it outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the high-voltage battery pack software. If necessary, the battery pack will be replaced.
